Zoos around the world with giant pandas



Around the New England, Zoo Atlanta can also be the place to find four pandas: female Lun Lun and male Yang Yang as well as their offspring Mei Lan and Xi Lan. Lun Lun likes the odor of cinnamon and mint, while Yang Yang includes a preference for Tabasco and lavender.


In April 2003, the Memphis Zoo grew to become location of two pandas of their own: Ya Ya and Le Le, who share a 3-acre, $16 million exhibit space with other species indigenous to China.


And in The United States, the Chapultepec Zoo in Mexico City hosts three female giant pandas.


In Europe, Zoo Berlin hosts Bao Bao, men born in 1978.


In Austria, Vienna's Schonbrunn Zoo hosts Fu Lengthy, born in August 2007. His parents, Yang Yang and Lengthy Hui have been in the zoo since March 2003.



More Giant Pandas in Zoos


The only real other pandas in Europe are available at Madrid's zoo and aquarium. The zoo hosts two female pandas: Hua Zui Ba and Bing Xing.


Just a week ago Australia's Adelaide Zoo welcomed two giant pandas, Wang Wang and Funi. Those are the only giant pandas within the Southern Hemisphere and the first one to live permanently around australia.


In Japan, giant pandas are available at Adventure World in Shirahama. The park hosts twins Meihin and Eihin and father Eimei.


And in Japan, the Kobe Oji Zoo hosts two giant pandas: Tan Tan and Ko Ko.


In Thailand, the Chiang Mai Zoo hosts three pandas: Chuang Chuang, Lin Hui & Lin Ping.


In Taiwan, the Taipei Zoo has two giant pandas Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan.



Pandas in China


Finally, you will find lots of places in China obviously to determine giant pandas:


In Hong Kong, Sea Park hosts four panda -- Jia Jia, An An, Le Le and Ying Ying. The park also allows some site visitors, with three-day advance notice, become honorary panda owners and obtain a behind the curtain look and also the panda's lives.


The Beijing Zoo hosts Gu Gu.


The Chengdu Panda Base hosts giant pandas, red-colored pandas along with other Chinese endangered creatures.


To determine pandas within their natural habitat, visit the Wolong National Character Reserve, a sprawling preserve with plenty of creatures and wild birds and substantial native panda population.
