I'll try to make this short.
I spent $525 for a policy and a technician to come find out why my refridgerator door is not closing enough to keep cool air in.
Diagnosis - bad hindge!
Fidelity Home Warranty said - Your claim is denied because it's outside of our 'normal wear and tear' guarantee. I said, it's a hindge and it's visibly fine, it just isn't produciing enough force to keep the door closed. For the money, i deserve more than this lame answer, i want a logical, specific reason as to why my hindge issues falls under "unnormal wear and tear". They could not give me one.
I asked to cancel my policy and to be given a full refund. I was told that the policy is unrefunable theres nothing they can do for me.
I might as well have taken $525 and put it into a slot machine somewhere. I probably would have gotten a better return on the investment.
Do not purchase a plan from Fidelity Home Warranty, i was ripped off, receieved poor service, and still don't have a reasonable answer as to why my claim was denied.

I had an incident where I had to get my pool motor replaced. This would be my second time replacing the motor within the year.
The contract says that the warranty company can replace motors with refurbished motors. The contractor sugguest that he put in a request for a new motor and of course I didn't disagree with that. The warranty company threw a fit and said they don't do that. I argued with Fidelity that no where on the contract says they will not replace the motor with a new motor.
It only says they have the right to use refurbished parts. I further argued that if I have to get the motor replaced several times a year, it would only be costly for myself and the company (me paying the deductible over and over, and the company paying for multiple refurbished motors). One of the reps called and offered me a refund to my policy which sound totally ridculous.
