Mtv cancels 'buckwild' following shain gandee's death

MTV has drawn the plug on "Buckwild" a bit more than the usual week following the sudden dying of 1 of their stars, Shain Gandee.


"We like the cast and also the show which wasn't a simple decision, but given Shain's tragic passing and essential presence on the program, we felt it wasn't appropriate to carry on without him," MTV stated inside a statement to ABCNews.com regarding its decision to not proceed with season a couple of "Buckwild."


Gandee, 21, his uncle, David Gandee, 48, and friend Jesse Robert Myers, 27, put together dead April 1 in the Ford Bronco which was partly immersed in deep dirt near Gandee's home in rural West Virginia. Autopsies confirmed the 3 males died of deadly carbon monoxide poisoning, likely caused by the Bronco's tailpipe being immersed in dirt. The 3 deaths were ruled accidental.

The enjoyment-loving breakout star of MTV's "Buckwild," Gandee was appreciated Sunday in a memorial service filled with camouflage, emotional tributes and also the music of Hank Williams Junior.


MTV can also be having to pay tribute towards the star.

Not everybody agreed with MTV's decision to prevent production. "Buckwild" producer J.P. Williams, who also handles a few of the cast people, blasted MTV for tugging the plug.


"This is actually the network which has shows about teen pregnancy.
